Who Owns Conversational AI Vendors Now? 2026 Deal Tracker
In one year, most of the best-known website chat and AI SDR tools changed hands or began winding down. Here's who owns what, with sources, and what it means for your next renewal.
Quick answer
Salesforce owns Qualified (closed April 1, 2026) and Fin, formerly Intercom (closed September 10, 2026). HubSpot owns Clearbit and agreed to acquire Warmly (announced June 30, 2026). Drift, owned by Clari + Salesloft, is being sunset, with 1mind as successor. We found no announced acquisition of Chili Piper, Docket, Breakout, Knock AI, RB2B, Default, RevenueHero or QualifyLoop as of November 2026.

Why ownership matters
Being owned by your CRM vendor can be a genuine advantage: deeper integration, a stable future and one contract. It becomes a risk when your stack doesn't match the owner's. For example:
- Roadmap. Salesforce says it is folding Piper into Agentforce. A HubSpot customer should expect that to shape priorities.
- Competing integrations. Warmly says integrations are unchanged for now, and gave no longer-term commitment for other CRMs.
- Packaging and price. Standalone products can become bundles. Clearbit's move into HubSpot is the precedent: no new standalone subscriptions.
Independence has its own risks. A small vendor, including us, may be acquired, change direction or lack enterprise maturity.
Questions to ask at renewal
- Will my CRM integration stay supported for the length of this contract, in writing?
- Can I export transcripts, playbooks and account data, and in what format?
- What notice do I get for price changes or end of life?
- If the vendor is acquired, can I exit the contract?
What to do by CRM
| Your CRM | Natural fit | Independent options to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Salesforce only | Qualified, Agentforce, Fin | Chili Piper, Docket, QualifyLoop |
| HubSpot only | Customer Agent, buyer intent, Warmly | Docket, RB2B, QualifyLoop |
| Both, or changing | Prefer CRM-neutral tools | Chili Piper, Docket, Default, QualifyLoop |
We make QualifyLoop, an independent product that supports both CRMs, so we benefit from this framing. Check each deal's source and tell us about anything we've missed: hello@qualifyloop.com.
